Indy NXT Series is the preparatory class for Indycar with which it shares most race weekends. Indy NXT Series is an educational category for drivers, technicians, and teams to gain experience at a wide variety of venues: street circuits, road courses, and ovals.


ERNIE FRANCIS JR

Ernie Francis Jr. is a 25 year old American sports car and open wheel driver competing in the Indy Lights Championship with Force Indy. Ernie also competes in the Pirelli Trans-Am Series with Breathless Racing winning four straight championships in the TA class. Last season he was also selected by Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham to compete in the SRX Series against some of racing’s greatest champions.

2020: 7th Trans Am Championship (winningest driver of all time)

2018: Tested a Ford GT for Chip Ganassi in GTLM at Daytona
